Purpose for Earth Foundation Branding Identity

Purpose for Earth Foundation is a nonprofit working to keep oceans plastic-free by 2050 and protect marine life. Aimed at young people and families, they needed branding that built recognition and positioned them as experts in ocean conservation. I created an ocean-inspired logo, with coral colored waves above the blue ones to represent their commitment to protecting coral reefs

Design Process

When I was creating the logo, all my concepts were ideas about the ocean as the company's work is all about the ocean whether it's saving sea turtles, saving coral reefs or keeping our oceans plastic free. I started out with making waves for the symbol. Eventually I settled on a badge-like logo so that the text wraps around the waves symbol.
